I really can’t say I liked this book at all, but will give it 2 stars on having to know how it ended. I realize this is based on supposedly true story of a woman suffering from spectral sexual assault, but that doesn’t mean DeFelitta couldn’t have built more of a story into the novel surrounding why the Entity was doing what he was doing or who he was.
It also seems from what little I have learned, the book is very loosely based on reality. When he does eventually find out, he cuts off all contact with her. Well I powered through it in just 3 days, I thought that Carlotta was a great character and the book in general is about so much more than entitt a ghost rampaging around and constantly raping a poor young woman, it deals with the differing of opinions between those who are open to the paranormal and those who believe everything can be explained away in a scientific manor, this leads to the main vrank half believing she is actually going crazy and losing her marbles.
