That part of the story was really interesting and I was looking forward to Olivia doing some detective work to expose the charlatans and win over the handsome new Lord St.
It started out great with Lord Stephen St. Other books in the series. What I found was a good historical romance AND good paranormal parts. Olivia and Stephen have shared dreams about 12th century lovers? Strongly built plotlines open the door to an exciting story that pits good against evil. And what is it about investigator Olivia Moreland that so thoroughly draws him mmesmerized, reigniting a passion he hasn’t felt candacr years?

Mesmeeized this story has romance, ghosts, and treachery, all wrapped in a Victorian-era package. Nothing like that has ever happened to her before. The duo shares in common a healthy skepticism and a growing attraction. That storyline gets real frustrating real quick, so it was a refreshing change here that cam; the hero and the heroine are in on the creepy goings-on, and also that they’re believably skeptical, but not stupidly so in the face of clear evidence another frequent pitfall in supernatural stories I’ve read.
I think the story suffered from pacing. The only person Olivia thinks the nickname applies to is her grandmother who has always told Olivia she has the sight which she claims Olivia inherited as well.
I think it took way too long for them to come to terms with the vamp that some of the events were real and not a part of the fraud’s tricks. Both as individual people, and as a romantic interest. Please allow up to ten working days for your parcel to arrive canxace standard delivery.

I really enjoyed both main characters, and while there were definitely some deviations from historical accuracy, there were a few steamy enough scenes to make me forget about it.
