I would highly recommend this novel to anyone who likes to read an entertaining story with interesting characters set in a definitive era of American culture. The novel is a roman-a-clef of old Hollywood featuring movie star Rina Marlow, and cowboy turned movie star, Nevada Smith whose lives are intertwined with Jonas Cord’s career. And it is really through them that we come to know Jonas himself.
